Job Summary
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Preschool Teacher to guide children 3 years old in a developmentally appropriate, play-based classroom. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, independence, and foundational skills that prepare children for Preschool and/or Kindergarten and beyond.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a structured and supportive atmosphere.
- Teach literacy skills through interactive activities, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Incorporate physical education into daily activities to promote health and wellness among preschoolers.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among students.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes social skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in preschool settings or childcare environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles is encouraged.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate various subjects.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- High School Diploma or higher is preferred.
